实验室及研究方向简介：
Supported by NIH, the laboratory of Dr. Hai-Bin Ruan (https://ruan.umn.edu/) in the Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology at University of Minnesota Medical School aims to elucidate molecular mechanisms underlying the intercellular communication in metabolic and immune systems. Using a combination of functional genetics, multi-omics, and comparative physiology, we currently conduct an integrated program in two major directions:
1) Nutrient signaling at the interface of metabolism & immunity.
2) Adipose tissue remodeling in obesity and aging.

1. Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. or equivalent degree in molecular & cellular biology, physiology, immunology, or a related field, highly self-motivated, and have a track record of productivity and good communication skills.
2. Prior experience with animal models is highly desirable. Preference will be given to those who have expertise in metabolism and/or immunology.
3. Successful candidates will join a collaborative and vibrant community to study 1) intestinal relay of dietary and microbial signals to host metabolism and mucosal immunity or 2) developmental heterogeneity, regulatory mechanism, and pathophysiological impact of brown and bone marrow adipose tissues.
4. NIH-scale salaries and standard University P&A fringe benefits will be offered.
